Our programs and tutoring sessions help students build understanding and confidence in literacy, numeracy and other key learning areas. We focus on developing mastery of the numbers and the four basic operations. We apply that knowledge to other strands and to real world mathematical problems. Example of topics include:
- Terminology and convention
- Whole number
- Addition, subtraction, division and multiplication
- Probability and statistics
- Fractions and decimals
- Perimeter, area, volume and capacity
- Algebra
- Time

Our core focus in our English program is reading and writing. Each session will centre around developing these skills and will incorporate the following strands:
- Spelling
- Hand writing
- Speaking and listening
- Comprehension
- Response to texts
High School
Maths
We focus on the skills and knowledge needed to fully understand mathematical concepts related to the NSW syllabus. Students at Bright Minds will gain confidence when thinking mathematically through questioning, communicating, reasoning and reflecting. Students will work on their ability to pose and solve problems in Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics and Probability and justify answers. Our approach recognises that all students are at different levels and cater the needs.
English
We focus on the functions and forms of language so that our students become confident communicators. We want them to be able to engage in a world of ideas that develops an understanding of themselves and our world - the very things encouraged in each English syllabus. Our goal is to equip our students with the necessary skills to articulate their own ideas clearly, as well as being able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the ideas of others they encounter through media, literature and film. Our approach is balanced and recognises that context matters - sometimes a concise response is required; sometimes an extended one.
